ISLAMABAD: The federal government on Tuesday extended the winter vacations in the government and private schools of the federal capital till January 11, 2015, and now the schools will re-open on January 12, 2015.
This was decided in a meeting chaired by Minister of State for CA&DD, Barrister Usman Ibrahim to review the decision of winter vacation of Education Institutions of Islamabad.
The meeting was attended by the Secretary CA&DD Babar Fateh Yaqoob, Additional Secretary Qaiser Majeed, Senior Joint Secretary Rukhsana Rehman and Director General Federal Directorate of Education Aamir Ashraf Khawaja.
The imposition of this decision will also be on private educational institutions. The decision of extending the vacations has been taken after provinces’ decision. Notification for government and private schools has also been issued accordingly.
