Islamabad: S. M. Muneer President India Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (IPCCI) has announced that Executive Committee meeting of India Pakistan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IPCCI) has been scheduled on September 12 at New Delhi, India on the sideline of the Lifestyle Exhibition scheduled from 11 – 14 September.
The IPCCI was established under the MoU Signed between Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and Federation of India Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) which are the national chambers of their respective country.
Muneer has further informed that the Executive Committee of IPCCI will discuss various issues pertaining to bilateral trade and economic relations between Pakistan and India in the backdrop of agreements signed for liberal visa policy, Indian Investment policy for Pakistani businessmen, and agreements on re-dressal of trade grievance, mutual recognition and custom cooperation, Non Tariff Barriers (NTBs), opening of bank branches in each other countries, mode of transportation of cargo through wagha/ Attari and its infrastructure development,
In order to finalize the agenda and working papers of the EC meeting, the meeting of the members of IPCCI ( Pakistan Chapter) will soon be called, Muneer added.
IPCCI will soon issue a circular to its members to get their membership renewed so that plan of the activities of IPCCI could be finalized and put up in the Executive Committee Meeting.
