Islamabad: Minister of State for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali has said the Government has devised a policy to check power pilferage, reduce lines losses and increase electricity supplies.
He stated this while addressing Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industries on Wednesday. The Minister said WAPDA has been directed to ensure timely completion of Guddu Thermal Power Project, Nandipur Power Project and a 410 MW Power Project at Dera Murad Jamali.
He said that the Industrial and agriculture sectors would be provided electricity on suitable rates with maximum duration. The Minister said concerted efforts are underway to improve recovery and management of the power system.
