ISLAMABAD: Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Mohammad Asif on Wednesday expressed the hope to overcome the power load-shedding by 2017. He said for this purpose, the government was working on a number of projects.
He said electricity shortage had been witnessed during winter because of less hydel power generation. He said Nandipur Power Plant would be fully operational in two years.
About the current petrol shortage, he said the government was taking steps to overcome the crisis. He said petroleum prices would be reduced further next month.
