ISLAMABAD: A spokesperson of the Ministry of Petroleum on Sunday said there was no shortage of petrol anywhere in the country.
In a statement, he said 14728 metric tons of petrol was supplied to the petrol pumps by noon on Sunday. He said average consumption of the petrol in the country was 12, 000 metric tons daily. He said oil companies have stock of 90, 000 metric tons of petrol.
He said 32 metric ton of additional petrol was being off-loaded at Karachi Seaport. He said 11 more ships carrying 3, 50, 000 (three hundred fifty thousand) metric tons of petrol will reach Pakistan during this month. He said demand and supply of the commodity was being monitored round the clock.
