Islamabad: Pakistan Air Force arranged a familiarization visit of PAF war veterans and former PAF leadership to one of main operating Base of Pakistan Air Force.
The visit was organized to showcase the technological advancements in the domain of air power made by the Pakistan Air Force over the years. Pakistan Air Force has made tremendous progress since its inception and has brought many laurels to the country.
Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force received the guests. The former PAF leadership witnessed the static display of F-16 Block 52 and F -16 A/B MLU aircraft. The veterans were deeply impressed by the newly acquired range of lethal weapon systems.
The PAF Veterans were also given a comprehensive brief on the offensive / defensive role and infrastructure of the Air Base by the Base Commander Air Commodore Ahmer Shehzad Laghari.
The Air Chief while addressing the august gathering shared his views about the PAF of today and said “The PAF Doctrine to safe guard the aerial frontiers of Pakistan by employing newly acquired capabilities have fully and firmly been put in place”.
He further said “PAF of today has refined its employment strategies by conceptualization, deliberations and have put in practice through series of in house and international Air Exercises.
While acknowledging the great efforts of the former PAF leadership he said “It’s your visionary approach which provided a solid foundation for the PAF of today which commands respect amongst the best Air Forces of 21st Century. The PAF and the nation will always honour your efforts.
