Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has expressed the resolve to make Pakistan International Airline (PIA) as one of the leading airlines of the world.
He was speaking while visiting Islamabad Airport to inspect newly inducted A320 aircraft into PIA’s fleet after a period of almost ten years.
The Prime Minster said PIA will soon be revived to its past glory. He said PIA should be the preferred choice of passengers, Pakistanis as well as foreigners.
Muhammad Nawaz Sharif emphasized providing best services to passengers to compete the other international airlines of repute. Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Aviation Shujaat Azeem briefed the Prime Minister about the initiatives being taken by the PIA.
He said the PIA is in the process of inducting 14 aircraft into its fleet including narrow body, wide body and turbo-prop aircraft.
