Islamabad: The hearing of high treason case against former President general retired Pervez Musharraf by a special court has been adjourned till today Wednesday.
The case has been adjourned in view of countrywide strike by lawyers to protest Islamabad district’s court terrorist attack. The defence and prosecution lawyers boycotted court proceedings on the call of the Pakistan Bar Council to observe a countrywide strike in protest of the Islamabad terror attack.
At outset of the hearing former army chief’s counsel Faisal Chaudhry told Registrar of the Special Court that if such circumstances of insecurity prevailed the lawyers would not appear before courts.
Speaking to reporters outside the court another counsel of Pervez Musharraf Ahmed Raza Kasuri said that current situation of the country is dangerous under which he said, risk could not taken to produce Musharraf the court on March 11. Kasuri suggested Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar to quit for declaring the capital a ‘safe’ city.
