KARACHI: Al-Khidmat Welfare Society, Muslim Aid and Qidwai welfare Trust on Monday distributed ration bags among the less privileged and needy families.
The ration bags contained flour, rice, sugar, tea, pulses, ghee, soap and other edibles.
Speaking on the occasion, Naib Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi has said that the holy month of Ramazan teaches us the lesson of sacrifice and affection.
“We should provide all possible assistance to the less privileged families during this holy month of Ramadan”, he said.
He further said that the Al-Khidmat had a privileged to distribute ration bags among the needy families every year during Ramazan.
General Secretary, Al-Khidmat Engr Abdul Aziz, said that the organization always serves for ailing humanity and believes on it.
“The Al-Khidmat Welfare Society will distribute ration bags and Eid gifts among 20,000 less privileged families in Ramadan, so that those families could spend the entire month with happiness,” he added.
He further said that the Al-Khidmat also arranges Iftar for poor and needy persons and orphans in large numbers.
On the occasion, Engr Abdul Aziz appealed to the generous persons to come forward and contribute their Zakat and other donations with Al-Khidmat for bringing happiness on the faces of less privileged families.
Office-bearers of Muslim Aid, senior manager Al-Khidmat Manzar Alam and others were also present on the occasion.
