ANP demands Rs 15 per liter decrease in petrol prices

KARACHI: Awami National Party (ANP) Leader Senator Shahi Syed on Tuesday rejected recent minor decrease in prices of petroleum products and demanded at least Rs 10-15 per liter decrease in those prices.

In a statement, he said that in the view of recent significant fall of dollar value, this minor reduction in petroleum prices was shameful and a joke with the masses.

He said that government was claiming stability in the country economy but recently prices of different food items had increased which was subtle. He urged the government to withdraw recent increase in prices of food items and give relief to the people.
