Awareness walk about natural calamities

KARACHI: Commissioner Karachi Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui said on Saturday that a special walk will be held on May 05th to spread awareness among masses about pre-planning to be safe from natural disasters and earthquakes.

The walk would be held to make people of schools, colleges, universities, scouts, and other organizations aware that how to save self and others from the calamities.

Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, Traffic Police, Energy Department, Sindh Building Control Authority, K-Electric Pvt Ltd, Provincial Disaster Management Authority Sindh, Electric Inspector Karachi, all cantonment boards, Chief Implementation Unit Commissioner Office, Civil Defence, director colleges, director schools, Pakistan Red Crescent, Pakistan Boys Scouts, Private School Associations, and representatives of other organizations and personalities from business community would also participate in the walk.

Focal Person Additional Commissioner Karachi-I Muhammad Aslam Khoso said that the walk would begin from Arts Council roundabout on Monday at 03:00pm and end at Karachi Press Club, where relevant people would address and highlight the topic.
