Clifton police arrest six criminals

KARACHI: Clifton police on Friday claimed to have arrested six criminals, including two extortionists, in different areas of the metropolitan. Superintendent of police (SP) Clifton Ibadat Nasir told PPI that police arrested two extortionists and recovered two pistols with bullets from their possession. He said that arrested extortionists confessed that they had demanded Rs 1 million from a citizen.

The SP said that in other raid, police arrested three street criminals within the limit of Gizri police station. He said that three pistols with bullets and 40 snatched mobile phones were also recovered from their possession.

Separately, he said that another street criminal was arrested red handed while attempting robbery in the wee hours near Gulf Market. One pistol with bullets, looted cash and mobile phone were also recovered from his possession, SP said.
