Condolence meeting over Peshawar tragedy held at DUHS

KARACHI: As whole Pakistan is in great pain following Peshawar’s deadly attack, Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) organized a condolence and condemnation meeting in order to mourn the tragic incident that took place in Army Public School, Peshawar.

Terming the darkest day in the history of Pakistan, Vice-Chancellor Prof Masood Hameed Khan and senior faculty members of the university including Prof Junaid Ashraf, Prof Salahuddin Afsar and Prof Naheed Sultan said the brutal killing of school children was the worst incident of terrorism.

“No human can think of this kind of blooded massacre of children. They expressed shock and sorrow over the incident and also paid tribute to the innocent martyrs. They also asked law enforcement agencies demanding indiscriminate action against the perpetrators of such incidents.

Prof Masood Hameed Khan stressed not to lose hope and asked all students and faculty to stand united against such acts of terrorism. The students of the university also expressed their views to mourn the tragic incident.

Later on, the participants of the meeting offered fateha and prayed to give high place in Heaven to the departed souls.
