KARACHI: Sindh Senior Minister for Education on Thursday inaugurated distribution of free schoolbooks up to ten classes for Karachi students and warned the officials concerned that no negligence would be tolerated in the matter of provision of free textbooks to students.
The inauguration ceremony was held here at NJV School building.
The senior minister said that new lessons on Benazir Bhutto, Maulana Abdul Sattar Edhi, Malala Yousafzai and Arfa Kareem have been included in amended syllabus of primary classes in Sindh.
He said that free textbooks should reach at every school, adding the headmasters who fail to send him video footage of distribution of free textbooks in their schools would be sent home.
He said: “No outsider will come to improve education system in Sindh but we will have to improve it ourselves that is why I am warning educational officials to mend their ways.”
He said that more than 27million free textbooks would be distributed across the Sindh province and if he received any information about selling of a single book in open marker the concerned official would be sacked.
