KARACHI: Crime Investigation Department (CID) of Sindh police on Sunday claimed to have killed four alleged Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants in a shootout in Manghpir and recovered weapons & explosive material from their possession in the metropolis.
According to details, militants attacked police during a raid on their hideout in Manghopir, but a retaliatory fire by police left them seriously injured, said CID police official.
CID police also recovered automatic weapons and explosive materials from their den, the official said. Rescue sources informed that the terrorists were shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) where they expired. The names of killed terrorists were not released to the media yet.
Anti Terrorism Cell (ATC) Incharge Ali Raza said the action was conducted on secret information about the presence of terrorists in the area.
