Four killed, two injured in Karachi violence


KARACHI: Four people were killed and two others injured in separate violence incidents here on Tuesday.

The Principal of Iqra Rozatul Atfal School, Fazl Ur Rehman, 45, son of Abdul Ghaffar, was gunned down by unknown armed men near Bhetak Hotel, Munawar Chowrangi in Gulistan-e-Johar. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities. The motive behind killing could not be ascertained yet.

In another incident, a man, Israr, 30, was killed by unknown armed men in Defense Housing Authority – DHA. The body was shifted to JPMC for an autopsy. The motive behind killing could not be ascertained yet.

Yet in another incident, an unknown man, aged about 35, was gunned down by unidentified armed men near Hawkesbay Scheme 42. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for an autopsy.

Meanwhile, one unidentified men aged about 25-years old was gunned down by unknown armed men near Shahab Baig Lane in Lyari. The body was shifted to CHK for medico-legal formalities. The motive behind killing could not be ascertained yet.

Separately, a man, Abdul Khair, 28, resident of Garden area, was shot and injured near Usmania Chowk in Garden. He was brought to CHK for treatment.

Moreover, a man, Ferouz, 45, son of Islam Khan, was shot and injured by unknown armed men near Asghar Ali Shah Cricket Stadium in Pahar Ganj area. The injured was shifted to ASH for treatment.
