Four more fall prey to Karachi violence


KARACHI: Four people were killed and two others injured in different violence incidents in the city on Thursday. Riaz Habib, 30, son of Muhammad Habib, was killed by unknown armed men at Kati Pahari near Islamia Mosque. The body was shifted to Abbasi shaheed Hospital (ASH) for a postmortem examination.

A 40-year-old man, Asif, son of Akbar Ali, resident of Solider Bazaar, was killed when unidentified armed men opened fire on his car at Empress Market in Saddar. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities.

A man was found dead under Lasbela flyover. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for a postmortem examination. The identity of the victim could not be ascertained yet.

Separately, a man was found dead from Lyari River near Bakra Perhi, Lyari. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for an autopsy. The identity of the victim could not be ascertained yet.

Ajmal, 30, was shot and injured while resisting a robbery bid in Landhi. The injured was shifted to JPMC for treatment.

Irfan, 38, son of Muhammad Iqbal, was shot and injured by unknown robbers while resisting a robbery in Gulshan-e-Iqbal. The injured was shifted to a nearby private hospital for treatment.
