Girl among three killed in Karachi violence


KARACHI: Three people, including a girl, were killed and four others injured in separate incidents of violence in the city on Tuesday.

A young girl, Farhat, 26, daughter of Afsar Khan, was shot dead by unidentified armed men near a seminary, Tilawat-ul-Arabia, in Sector 8 A, Bilal Colony. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for a postmortem examination.

A man, Abid, 45, son of Akram, resident of Nazimabad No 2, was shot dead by unknown assailants near Gol Market in Nazimabad. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for medico-legal formalities.

The beheaded body of an unidentified man, aged 40, was found from a school near Jheel Park in PECHS. It was shifted to JPMC for an autopsy.

Two youths, Syed Noman Raza, 24, son of Syed Sabeeh Abbasi, and Ahsan Iqbal, 25, son of Muhammed Yousuf, were shot and injured by robbers while offering resistance to robbery in Mobile Market, Kareemabad. The injured were shifted to ASH for treatment.

Separately, two youths, Kareemullah, 20, son of Abdul Qadir, and Younis, 22 son of Abdul Hafiz, were shot and injured while offering resistance to robbery in Khuda Ki Basti, Surjani Town. Both the injured were shifted to ASH for treatment.
