KARACHI: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh Iqbal Mehmood on Tuesday ordered police officials to make police helpline Madadgar 15 more efficient and submit the report of development work in helpline centre within seven days.
During surprise visit to police helpline Madadgar 15 centre, IGP reviewed telephone calls being received at Madadgar 15 and also checked police responses to the call. He instructed police to ensure response within three to five minutes after receiving complaints, upgrade the system and also increase workforce.
Officials briefed IGP that system is consist of 38 telephone lines through which officers are informed by relevant police station about incidents.
IG ordered Director Information Technology Sindh Police that necessary steps should be taken about reforms and send recommendations for making this system better.
