KARACHI: The leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) were of the view that the public charter presented by JI Karachi was an only way for the redressal of the public grievances.
These views were expressed by JI leaders Nasrullah Khan Shajih, Muslim Pervez, Younus Barai, Osama Razi and Munim Zafar while addressing the public rallies at different areas on Friday.
The rallies were organized by JI Karachi Chapter outside Bait-ul-Mukarram Mosque in District East and Okai Memon Mosque in District Central.
Speaking the gathering, JI leaders said that the Islamic revolution was the only way to pull out the country from hot waters, adding that the present rulers have failed to resolve the issues of masses.
They said that the country surrounded by internal and external threats due to not following the Islamic laws, adding that the people were facing immense issues of poverty, un-employment, inflation, load-shedding and lawlessness.
They said that the JI was striving hard for imposition of Islamic laws in the country and make it a true welfare state according to the dreams of Quaid-e-Azam.
On the occasion, the JI leaders appealed the people to stand with JI leadership to pull out the country from the clutches of problems.
They further said that the fake mandate was the real issue of Karachi, as the ‘thapa-mafia’ on gun-point stole the public mandate on May, 11 general elections.
“All issues have been covered in the Public Charter, presented by JI Karachi Chapter and the people will definitely get relief in fields of health, employment and education through the said document”, they added.
On the occasion, JI leaders demanded holding of fair and free elections in Karachi, practical steps for eradication of lawlessness and reduction in taxes on petroleum products.
They warned the government that the people will take into streets if those demands would not be addressed.
