KWSB to provide 0.2m gallons water to PAF Base


KARACHI: Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) will provide 0.2 million gallons of water to Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Masroor Base while water supply through KWSB water hydrants would also be initiated for the base in order to overcome water shortage.

This was informed by MD KWSB Qutubuddin Shaikh to PAF Masroor Base Wing Commander Faisal and Squadron Leader Javed during a meeting at KWSB office on Tuesday. The PAF officials informed KWSB MD of water shortage in the base on which the officials were informed that the city was facing a water shortage of 500 million gallons.

The PAF officials were informed that KWSB was not able to supply water as per quota, however, it was ensuring to provide water to all sectors on equal basis.

The KWSB MD said that several suggestions for improving water supply in the city were under consideration and they would soon be implemented. He said that ensuring smooth water supply to PAF Masroor Base was on top priority of the department.
