SIALKOT: T he participants including post graduate medical students, orthopaedics, paediatricians, gynaecologists, nurses and physiotherapists showed keen interest in two separate training workshops on the topics of “ Hands on Workshop of Primary Total Knee Replacement” and “Development Screening” here Wednesday.
They termed the workshops very important and informative and stressed upon the need of continuity of such training workshops in future as well.
Prof. Dr. Amer Aziz (HOD Ghurki Trust Hospital Lahore) and Dr. Mian Muhammad Azhar (HOD, KMSMC Sialkot) gave detailed lectures on new developments and major achievements Primary Total Knee Replacement in Pakistan. While, Dr. Ehsan Ullah (Assistant Professor KMSMC Sialkot) Mrs. Shagufta Jalal (Principal Nursing School KMSMC Sialkot) also gave their detailed lectures and presentations on the importance of development Screening during an separate workshop. They looked for the growth / development of children detection of early and delayed development for early intervention.
Both of the above-mentioned workshops were held on the second day of ongoing week long KMSM C Medicon 2014 conference being held here under the auspices of Khawaja Safdar Medical College Sialkot (KMSMC) now-a-days.
Principal Khawaja Safdar Medical College Sialkot Prof. Dr. Zafar Ali Chaudhary told the newsmen that the conference was providing unique opportunities to the doctors and medical students to share their experiences and views and to learn from each other. Moot will continue till March 23rd, 2014.
As many as 13 different training workshops of the doctors and medical students would be held during this week-long national conference in which as many as 60 senior doctors from across Pakistan will deliver their lectures about the latest technologies of medical treatment especially on Audiology Orientation, Neonatal Resuscitation, Infection Control, Developmental Paediatrics, Knee Replacement Surgery , Endoscopy , Gynae , Eye, ENT, Liver Biopsy, Ophthalmology, Glaucoma, Perinetal Diagnosis and Research Methodology.
