Karachi: Provincial Health Minister Sindh Dr Sagheer Ahmed on Monday stressed the need of launching a joint struggle through all segments of the society to eliminate terrorism from Pakistan.
He expressed these views while enquiring about the health of Karachi airport attack injured during his visit to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC).
He reviewed the medical treatment facilities being provided to the attack injured and also ensured provision of best available treatment to them. He said it was responsibility of every citizen to coordinate with law enforcement agencies to control the terrorism activities which spread across the country.
Dr Sagheer paid rich tribute to martyrs of Karachi airport attack and applauded the sacrifices of Pakistan army, Airport Security Force, Rangers and police.
He urged all political and religious parties to coordinate with security forces because they were fighting for survival of country. He directed the hospital administration to provide best available treatment to patients brought to hospital for treatment.
He strongly condemned the attack on pilgrims buses in Taftan area of Balochistan province by the terrorists and said that the attacker were enemies of nation and Islam. He said terrorists hatched conspiracy to weak the country through their coward attack but Pakistani nation would foil their plans through national unity and harmony
