KARACHI: An Anti-Terrorism Court-I ( ATC-I) on Monday remanded three accused Nadeem Khan, Abid Ali and Noor-ur-Rasheed to police custody till 20 January 2015 in a Shafiq Tanoli murder case.
Police produced the accused before the ATC judge amid tight security. Investigation officer requested the court that police needed their physical custody to trace their connections and map out the where about of their absconding accomplices, Peer Bahadur and Sardar Khan. The court accepted the police request and remanded the accused to their custody to their custody till 20 January.
According to prosecution, the accused with his accomplices involved in bomb blast on 24th April 2014. Inspector Shafiq Tanoli, Jalal Ahmed and Mohammad Dawood were killed in an explosion that took place near Karachi’s old wholesale vegetable market.
A case FIR 46/14 was registered at PIB colony police station under section 302 (premeditated murder), 324 (attempted to murder) and 34 (common intention) of the Pakistan Penal Code read with the Anti-Terrorism act, 1997.
