Naimatullah stresses for peace, education in city


KARACHI: Ex-Mayor of Karachi Naimatullah Khan has said that peace of Karachi should be re-established and buoyancy restored, while, youngsters should focus studies for the prosperity of their country.

He said that during his government he made Karachi a city of lights, built up beautiful parks in all towns of the city, which did only not provide health and recreation facilities to the citizens but also made Karachi an exemplary city.

This he said after inaugurating Mehmood Riaz Shaheed Park in Block 5, Federal B Area, and during distribution of awards among the students of 5 schools. Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Gulberg Zone Saeed Amir Moosa, Ex-Town Nazim Gulberg Farooq Naimatullah were also present on the occasion.

Khan said that Karachi was a centre of peace but since last decade it has been facing the issues of target killings etc., which is regrettable. The lights of Karachi should be restored and peace re-established according to the wishes of its citizens.

He asked the children to focus on studies because future belonged to them and they have to proceed to serve the country after getting education.
