KARACHI: Four people, including a navy officer, were killed and three others injured in separate incidents of violence in the city on Monday.
A navy official, Ghulam Ali, 45, was seriously injured when unidentified armed men riding a motorcycle opened fire on his car near Karsaz area on Shahrah-e-Faisal. The victim was rushed to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC), where he succumbed to his wounds during treatment.
Separately, two unidentified men, aged 28 and 20, were killed when unknown armed men opened fire on them in Jamali Goth, Sohrab Goth. The bodies were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.
A man, Imran, 35, son of Nazir, was killed and two others, Pervez, 45, son of Jamal, and Afzal, 40, son of Khalid, residents of Malir, were injured when unidentified armed men opened fire on them in Millat Town, Malir. The body and injured were shifted to JPMC for an autopsy and treatment respectively.
A woman, Shazia, 26, daughter of Liaquat Ali, was injured when unidentified men opened fire in a bus near Shershah police station in Shershah. The injured was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for treatment.
