KARACHI: President of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussain will inaugurate the three-day 11th Annual My Karachi Exhibition to be held from 20 to 22 June 2014 at Expo Center Karachi under the auspices of Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
This was announced by Chairman BMG Siraj Kassam Teli, while addressing a press conference here at KCCI. President KCCI Amir Abdullah Zaki and Zubair Ahmad Motiwala and other businessmen were also present.
He said that purpose of the exhibition was to highlight positive impression of Pakistan and Karachi and to get more and more attention of foreign investors.
He said that the exhibition would be held in all six halls of the Expo Center and there would be stalls of almost all Pakistani products. He added that 60-65 stalls would be provided to women and new businessmen on subsidies price. Only families would be allowed to visit the exhibition.
He said that companies of some foreign counties would also participate in the exhibition. Presidents of All Pakistani Chambers of Commerce & Industry would be invited to visit the exhibition.
To a question, he said that last year around six million people visited the exhibition while total sale was Rs 20.13 million and the profit was Rs 4.5 million.
Responding to another query, he said that the exhibition is held every year since 2004 and every government supported it, while media also played a vital role in its success.
