Qaim orders probing sectarian killings

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah has directed the Sindh police and law enforcing agencies to take action against sectarian killings in Karachi.

He directed Inspector General of Sindh Police to get the incidents of recent sectarian killings probed by an officer of DIG rank and submit report within a week. He directed that these incidents should not be repeated in future.

Presiding over a meeting to review law and order of Karachi in CM House: he said condemned the sectarian killings he asked the police to provide security to the professionals including lawyers and doctors. He asked Sindh to expedite the process for procurement of 100 bullet proof mobiles: 50 APC: latest arms: ammunitions and detecting equipments for which Sindh government has not only placed Rs5billion on their disposal but also relaxed the procurement rules. He asked expediting the process of recruitment and training of the newly inducted corps with the help of Pak Army.

He asked for eradicate of illegal water hydrants in the city and take action against the land grabbers.
