Rangers detain accused for 90-day

KARACHI: The Pakistan Rangers, Sindh produced an accused Zahid before Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) and informed it about his 90-day preventive detention for interrogation.

The personnel of Pakistan Rangers, Sindh, along with their counsel produced the suspect Zahid and informed the court that the suspects was picked up during the targeted operation in garden Karachi.

According to rangers, they had credible information about his involvement in murder, attempt to murder and anti-terrorism offences. According to sources, Zahid was arrested on the indication of another accused who was arrested from Nine-Zero.

The detainee will be placed under preventive detention for three months for further questioning under Section 11EEEE (1) and in compliance of Section 11EEEE (3) of ATA.
