KARACHI: Personnel of Pakistan Rangers, Sindh, along with their own counsel produced a suspect Mohammad Hanif before ATC-III Judge amid security. The paramilitary force had information about his alleged involvement in targeted killing, extortion and others offences.
They informed court that the suspect required to be questioned for his alleged involvement in criminal activities. According to the Rangers, suspect was arrested during a raid in Lyari, Karachi.
The recent amendments in Anti-Terrorism Act 1997 Section II EEEEE in November 2013 have authorized the paramilitary force to detain suspects till three months for interrogations.
