KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) on Friday issued a fresh notice to head of Sachal Goth police station to submit an explanation as to why he failed to show up in court for filing his comments in petition against alleged fake encounter.
A division bench of SHC, headed by Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar, expressed its displeasure over the absence of SHO Sachal Goth police station despite court directions. It once again directed him to appear in court on July 10 and submit explanation as to why he did not appear today.
The bench was hearing a petition filed by Sultana, who moved the court seeking probe into murder of her son Zahid Khan, allegedly killed in a fake encounter by Sachal Goth police.
The petitioner submitted that her son was picked up by the SHO Sachal Goth police station on July 01 from her residence in Ayub Goth near Superhighway, Malir. She said that she later learnt through reliable sources that her son was murdered in a fake encounter on July 02 by Sachal police.
