Sports: Cricket: Imran bowls Azad Pak to victory in Peace Cup


Karachi: Imran Ali displayed deadly bowling show and captured a four-wicket haul to help Azad Pak XI record a formidable eight-wicket triumph against Brother Cricket Club in 2nd Peace Cup T-20 Night Cricket Tournament here Tuesday night at the Naya Nazimabad Lawai Stadium.

Batting first, Dadu based Brother CC scored a paltry total of 82 runs before losing all of their wickets in 18.5 overs. Taimoor Ali top scored for the side with 23 runs. Imran Ali bowled impressively for Azad Pak XI capturing four wickets cheaply for 12 runs.

In reply Azad Pak XI reached the victory total in 13.2 overs with eight wickets in hand. Ahsan Ali (35 runs) and Adnan Baig (34 runs) batted well for the winning team.
