Three shot dead in city


KARACHI: Three people were killed and three others injured in separate incidents of violence in the city on Tuesday. A security guard, Zaheer Abbas, was shot dead when unidentified gunmen opened fire on him near Ambala Bakers and Sweets in PECHS Block 6. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for an autopsy.

A man, Shahrukh, 30, was killed and another, Faizan, 28, was injured when unidentified gunmen opened fire on them in Nazimabad No 6. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for post-mortem, while, the injured was first taken to ASH and then shifted to a private hospital.

27-year-old Saeed Raza, son of Abdul Razzaq, resident of Lyari, was killed when unknown armed men opened fire on him in Street No 5 in Baghdadi area, Lyari. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for medico-legal formalities.

In an incident of resistance against robbery, a man, Riaz, 45, son of Nawaz, was injured when robbers opened fire on him and fled from the scene near McDonald’s restaurant in Sea View area, Clifton. The injured was shifted to JPMC for treatment.

A man, Ghulam Shabbir, 32, son of Illahi Bukhsh, was injured when unidentified armed men opened fire on him near Sindhi Hotel in North Karachi. The injured was shifted to ASH for treatment.
