Trials for Sindh teams extended for one-day

Karachi: The trials to select two Sindh women hockey teams for the forthcoming National Women Hockey Championship commenced Wednesday and the organizers were forced to extend the trials for a day after a huge turnout of players here at Hockey Club of Pakistan.

A total of 73 girls from all five regions of Sindh appeared in the trials. Although, the trials were initially scheduled as a one-day affair but the selectors found it difficult to try out all candidates and therefore extended the trials for a day.

Abuzar, Misbah, Erum Bukhari and Asif Mehmood were the selection committee members who witnessed the trials. Abdullah Ali Talat, Olympian Iftikhar Syed and Muhammad Farooq also observed the trials. Zehra, Saadia, Sana Ali and Farha Riaz conducted the on field proceedings.
