Two die in Karachi mishaps

KARACHI: Two died including a woman and three others were injured in different mishaps in the city on Thursday. The mutilated body of one Sumera, 20, daughter of Shakeel, was found from a house in Nayabad, Lyari. It was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for medico-legal formalities. The motive behind the murder could not be ascertained. The police, however, started probe into the incident.

A man died of suffocation when fire erupted in a garment factory at Hadi Market in Nazimabad. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for a postmortem examination. The identity of the victim could not be ascertained till filing this news.

A 40-year-old man, Maroof, son of Abdul Rasheed, was injured in a hand grenade attack at Akbar Godown in SITE area of the City. The injured was rushed to CHK for treatment.

Two men, Shaheen Hussain, 40, son of Wazir Hussain, and Badshah, 45, son of Wazir, were shot and injured by unidentified armed robbers, while resisting a robbery bid near Dawood Chowrangi in Landhi. The injured were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for treatment.

Separately, a 20-year-old youth, Fayyaz son of Ayaz, received burnt injuries at Mawach Goth in Baldia Town. He was brought to CHK for treatment. According to police the boy tried to commit suicide.
