Karachi: Two more dengue viral fever cases were reported across the country on Thursday, increasing the number of confirmed cases this year to 140, said Focal Person for Dengue Surveillance Cell Dr Shakeel Aamir Mullick.
Dr Mullick said a total of 140 dengue fever cases had so far been reported in 2014, of which 130 were reported from Karachi, one in Hyderabad and six from the rest of Sindh. He said three dengue cases were also reported from Balochistan province.
He said that a dengue patient had expired in city this year so far. He said that two new dengue fever cases were reported (01 inpatient & 01 OPD) on 20 March 2014, out of which one was reported from Karachi and one from Balochistan province.
