Two Pak veteran teams to participate in Masters World Cup


Karachi: Pakistan Veterans Hockey Team and Pakistan Veterans Hockey Club will participate in the 2nd FIH Masters World Cup Hockey Tournament, which will be played in Rotterdam, Netherlands from June 5 to 13.

The training camp of Pakistan Veterans Hockey Club is in progress here at Hockey Club of Pakistan Stadium. Iftikhar Syed and Muhammad Farooq have been running the camp as coordinators.

The training camp of Pakistan Veterans Hockey Team will begin at National Hockey Stadium in Lahore on April 11.The coordinators of the camp will Olympian Tahir Zaman and Olympian Anjum Saeed.

The squads will be chosen from, Olympians: Akhtar Rasool Chaudhary, Qasim Zia, Ishtiaq Ahmed, Tauqeer Ahmed Dar, Rana Mujahid Ali, Muhammad Asif Bajwa, Shahid Ali Khan, Saleem Sherwani, Shahbaz Ahmed Senior, Anjum Saeed, Khalid Bashir, Tahir Zaman, Danish Kaleem, Shafqat Malik, Khawaja Muhammad Junaid, Muhammad Khalid, Rahim Khan, Muhammad Irfan Junior, Muhammad Shahbaz Junior, Muhammad Nadeem, Ahmed Alam, Muhammad Akhlaq and Tariq Sheikh. Internationals: Asif Ahmed Khan, Muhammad Irfan Senior, Syed Abuzar Umrao, Muhammad Ali, Jan Muhammad, Muhammad Naeem, Ajmal Khan Lodhi, Khawar Javaid, Rana Atif, Mirza Waheed Baig, Mujahid Afzal and Sohail Ashraf.

Team Officials: Muhammad Wasay Jalil, Saghir Ahmed, Arshad Ali Chaudhary, Rana Muhammad Mazhar and Dr. Asad Abbas Shah (Doctor).
