Two policemen killed in Karachi

KARACHI: Two policemen were killed and a pedestrian injured in different incidents of firing in the city on Monday. A special branch police officer, Hasnaat Hussain, 35, son of Zafar Hussain Shah, was shot dead by unidentified armed men at Badar Chowk within the limits of Mominabad police station in Orangi Town No 4. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.

Separately, a traffic police constable, Faiz Muhammad, 35, son of Abdul Hakim, was killed by unknown gunmen near Abdullah College in Nazimabad. The body was shifted to ASH for an autopsy.

A 25-year-old man, Zahid, son of Ghulam Muhammad, was shot and injured by unknown armed men at Nusrat Bhutto Colony in Manghopir. The injured was rushed to ASH for treatment.
