UK deputy HC visits KCCI


KARACHI: British Deputy High Commissioner John Anthony Tucknott on Wednesday said that the UK security companies help in bettering of law and order situation in Pakistan in the shape of training and capacity building

Addressing office-bearers and members of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) during his visit to KCCI, he said that many multinational companies in Karachi were also facing security issues and due to law in order situation in the city many British companies hesitate to invest here.

He said that the UK wants to see Pakistan as a prosperous country and in this regard they were boosting trade with Pakistan. He said that law and order situation was a big hurdle in way of British investment.

He said that for economic growth Pakistan needs to overcome law and order situation in the country particularly in Karachi so that foreign companies start investment here. He said that more than 40 British security companies could provide their services in law and order related sector.

He said that despite all issues and difficulties the UK would continue helping Pakistan to rebuild its economy.
