MQM dismisses BBC report about Imran Farooq murder case

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Thursday strongly condemned BBC report about Dr Imran Farooq murder case and termed it a malicious intent. Addressing a press conference at the MQM headquarters, Nine Zero, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Deputy Convener MQM Coordination Committee, said that the report was defamatory and mischievously manipulated to defame MQM’s image. Other MQM leaders including Farooq Sattar were also present.

Siddiqui blamed BBC for rigging the report to distort the facts so that it could be given a anti-MQM slant.

Farooq Sattar said that the report was aimed at tarnishing the image of MQM chief Altaf Hussain. He said that MQM was facing national as well as international conspiracies, but it was determined to foil them.
