KARACHI: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader, Mumtaz Ali Bhutto is may get some important responsibility possibly the post of Sindh Governor if the PML-N government opted for such a change in Sindh province, reliable sources told PPI on Tuesday.
They said that there were bright chances that Mumtaz Bhutto would be the new governor of Sindh or other equally important responsibility but that depends on the changing political scenario in the province and backdoor developments. The sources said that Punjab chief minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif was playing an important role to get due status for Mumtaz Bhutto within the party and Sindh province.
When contacted, Secretary Information PML-N Sindh chapter Akbar Gujar said that Mumtaz Bhutto was a responsible party leader and he could be given any important responsibility. He, however, said he has no information regarding contacts of party top leadership with Bhutto or offering him governorship slot.
Anwar Gujar, ex PML-N Sindh vice president said that Mumtaz Bhutto was central leader of PML-N and top party leadership has always remained in contact with him regarding the issues related to Sindh. He said that the possibility could not be ruled out that he is given an importance responsibility in the province. He, however, denied that Mumtaz Bhutto was being made next governor of Sindh.
