Karachi: Vice-Commissioner Sindh Social Security Institution Shafiq Ahmed Sheikh on Thursday emphasized the Sindh Employees’ Social Security Institution (SESSI) doctors to perform their duties with professional skills and a serving spirit.
He expressed these views at the concluding ceremony of three-day training course on “Professional Skills for SESSI doctors,” as Chief Guest at SESSI head office.
He said it is the responsibility of SESSI doctors to serve the under-privileged segment of society who are facing socio-economic problems. He said = credibility building of the institution depended on its medical staff.
He said efforts are under way for the betterment of SESSI-run healthcare institutions and also provision of basic facilities. He said new departments, latest equipments and doctors have been added according the requirement of the healthcare institutions.
Shafiq Sheikh said now it is the responsibility of doctors to concentrate on treatment of workers and their heirs.
Medical Advisor Dr Shah Muhammad Noonari urged the medical professionals for using new techniques and developments in their practice in order to provide better healthcare facilities to patients. He informed the SESSI is spending Rs.2 billion 46 Crores and 98 lakhs on provision of healthcare facilities in the current year which is 70 percent of its total allocated budget.
