Sindh Festival: CJP asked to take notice of money wastage

KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) lawmakers on Thursday asked federal government and Chief Justice of Pakistan to take notice of billions of rupees wasting in the name of Sindh Festival by Sindh government.

Addressing an emergency press conference at Karachi Press club, MPAs Khurram Sher Zaman and Dr Seema Zia, said that Sindh government was spending billion of rupees from national treasury for publicity of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in connection with Sindh Festival which was condemnable.

They said national heritage Mohenjo-Daro was also being damaged by holding programs of Sindh Festival there, while country law was not allowing programs on such places.

They urged Sindh government to spend the amount for betterment of poor people of Sindh and bring a change in their lives.
