Lahore: Member National Assembly & PML-N Lahore President Muhammad Pervez Malik has said that sustainable economic indicators of Nawaz Sharif government are encouraging and showing that economy is well on the path of stability. PML-N government is ambitious to address the challenges being faced by the country in shortest possible time.
While addressing a huge gathering of businessmen, Pervez Malik said that usually Foreign Direct Investment is considered a scale to measure pace of economic growth all over the world. He said that in the previous regime, situation was quite disturbing as far Foreign Direct Investment was concerned but situation took a positive turnaround soon after the last National General Elections.
He said that Foreign Direct Investment was declining since 2008 due to bad governance, corruption, security concerns, weak law & order situation and massive load shedding.
Pervez Malik said that during the first 8 months of the ongoing financial year, Foreign Direct Investment in Pakistan was increased by 17.9 percent that was an ample proof that international community has complete trust on the policies of Nawaz Sharif government. Even international institutions like International Monetary Fund are showing satisfaction on the economic health of Pakistan, he added.
He said that various initiatives take by the PML-N government to overcome the challenges of energy crisis, security and economy were yielding promising results.
