LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi Chief Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has said that the Pakistan Protection Bill (PPB) was not in the favour of country and its people, because the basic rights of the masses would be engulfed with its implementation.
He expressed these views while addressing a gathering organized in Mehmoodabad by Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Akhtar Colony Zone.
Addressing the gathering, Hafiz Naeem said that the police powers would be increased by the implementation of PPB, as they would get the powers to shoot anyone on the basis of doubt.
He further said that the country was passing through a critical juncture and approval of the PPB from the Senate was a bid to indulge the nation in new debates.
Commenting on the holy month of Ramadan, Hafiz Naeem said that the holy month teaches us the lesson of religious harmony, sympathy and sacrifice.
He further said that the Ramazan and Holy Quran had a strong relation between each other and we all should avoid doing bad deeds during the sacred month of Ramadan.
“In the month of Ramazan, we should have to promise with Almighty Allah and Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) to spend our lives according with the true teaching of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH)”, he added.
Hafiz Naeem further said that the month of Ramadan was a precious gift for the Muslims from the Almighty Allah and all Muslims should not waste a single minute of this sacred month and make efforts to please Almighty Allah and His prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
