SIALKOT: The Daska police have arrested a notorious criminal and proclaimed offender (PO) after a struggle of seven years.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Daska Engineer Rana Zahid Hussain told that the accused Shehzad alias Shazi, was bearing a head money of Rs. 0.4 million, announced by the Punjab government. He was wanted by police in three cases of murder and one case of attempt of murder for the last seven years. He had fled to France, where he had got the French nationality. He had come to Pakistan after the death of his father Mohammad Boota at village Gujjar Kulla-Daska.
DSP added that the accused PO Shehzad alias Shazi was now going back to France through Lahore airport, when on a tip off, the Daska police team arrested him near village Aadha-Daska while going to Lahore from Sialkot on main Sialkot-Daska Road here Wednesday.
DSP added that the accused had ten years-long his criminal record. Sialkot DPO Dr. Shehzad Asif has announced cash prizes and appreciation certificates for the raiding police party.
