OIC chief denounces abduction of students in Cameroon

Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen condemned the recent kidnapping of dozens of students including their principal from a boarding school in the northwest of Cameroon.

Al-Othaimeen, who emphasized the importance of youth education, insisted that there was no excuse whatsoever for this criminal action. He conveyed his deepest condolences and that of the entire OIC member states to the families of the victims, as well as to the government and people of Cameroon over this distressing incident perpetrated by terrorists.

The secretary general reiterated the principled position of the OIC against terrorism and reaffirmed the solidarity of the Organization with the Cameroonian authorities in their effort to combat this heinous phenomenon.
