Karachi: Pakistan Airline Pilots’ Association PALPA has said that any action by the PIA management to ensure the safety of aircraft and passengers will be supported by the pilots.
A spokesman for the association in a statement issued today appreciated the management’s decision of pilots’ medical checkup before flights to ensure foolproof aviation safety.
PALPA spokesman added that flight safety has been the prime concern of pilot community while the Leeds incident only endorses what the association has been highlighting since last few years.
While condemning the incident, he said the safety of passengers should not be jeopardized in any case. He added that the association always follows the norms of aviation and rules prescribed there by.
The spokesman said that PALPA will not compromise on flight safety issues and will not allow its members to break the rules.
