Peshawar: KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has said that federal govt has endorsed our right on use of natural gas produced in this province and hence we are planning to generate cheap electricity from additional natural gas to bring about industrial revolution that, he said, will also contribute a great deal in overcoming the menace of unemployment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He regretted that corrupt, commission mafia, thieves and looters have become united against him (Pervez Khattak) and are busy round the clock to hatch conspiracies against him and his provincial govt.
However he vowed that such conspirators cannot harm him as people are behind him like rock and hence he will beat all these thieves and dacoits with iron hand. Khattak also cautioned federal minister for power Abid Sher Ali to shut his mouth up and not to misuse his close relationship with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and instead of levelling allegations against valiant Pakhtuns who always rendered matchless sacrifices for the motherland, focus attention on eliminating bribery, ‘batha’ and power stealing mafia from his own department and revive confidence of people on WAPDA.
He was addressing mammoth public meetings at Dak Ismail Khel and Khush Maqam areas in district Nowshera after inaugurating ground work on Jalozai Housing Scheme.
The rallies were also addressed by Provincial Ministers Mehmood Khan, Mian Jamshed-ud-din KakaKhel, CM Advisor on Housing Amjad Afridi, Parliamentary Secretary for Planning & Development Mian Khaliq-ur-Rehman Khattak, MNA Dr. Imran Khattak, PTI leaders Mian Ibrahim Shah, Shoaib Khan, Sajid Khan Lala and other elite of the area.
The speakers eulogized agenda of change of PTI govt as well as paid rich tributes to Pervez Khattak for introducing pleasant changes in traditional thana, patwar cultures, streamlining health and educational institutions, ensuring presence of staff on duty, uprooting corruption and other revolutionary steps and assured him their full cooperation and support in this regard.
Secretary Housing Engr. Zahid Arif told the Chief Minister on this occasion that estimated cost on Jalozai Housing Scheme is Rs.11.494 billion while revenue is estimated to Rs.12.30 billion out of it Rs.3.20b from residential and Rs.2.03 b from commercial sold plots have already been incurred. Total number of plots is 8571 including 3000 five marla 1809 Seven Marla, 1694 ten marla, 1129 one kanals and 39 commercial plots of two kanals of which almost half have been sold.
He said development work on this housing scheme is immediately started and will be completed within 9 months wherein allottees would also be given occupations forthwith. He said the scheme besides solving residential problems of the locals will also help in beautification and environmental betterment of the area.
Pervez Khattak said that receiving 20% commission on contracts of developmental schemes had become legitimate right of the govt elite in the past while quality was totally compromised and contractors and officers were given free hand to play havoc with public exchequer that wasted billions of rupees of the kitty and destroyed institutions so badly.
He said PTI Chairman Imran Khan and he voiced against it from the very beginning and raised one slogan that first to change the corrupt and rusted system then people would benefit of the fruits of this change by themselves.
He said people did not vote us into power to distribute jobs and contracts among the blue eyed rather we are mandated to change the entire system. “We are closely pursuing the manifesto of PTI and vision of Imran Khan and working round the clock to get success otherwise I know that PTI will fail all over the country if we failed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa”, he said adding that we would never compromise on achieving 100% results of our party manifesto.
Chief Minister lamented that certain elements in collusion with opposition were bent upon to make intrigues to deviate us from our agenda but they will fail bitterly. He said our province suffered great losses due to useless war against terrorism that also tantamounted to increasing the ratio of poverty and unemployment over here.
He appealed the people to wait a little bit more for economic prosperity. He said there was meagre number of govt jobs and so the unemployment of a single constituency could not be removed even if job vacancies of the entire province were diverted to it. He said that we had promise of ensuring supremacy of merit and justice with people and we would honour it in letter and spirit even by giving comprehensive legislation cover to all of our steps.
He assured that new and existing industrial estates would be revived in Gadoon Amzai, Risalpur, Hattar, Swat, Malakand, Jalozai and southern districts by providing it cheap electricity through surplus gas in the province. He said the first ever unique projects of Technical University and Air University have been approved at Azakhel and ground work would be soon started on it. He said DHQ hospital Nowshera has been upgraded to teaching hospital while medical college has been also approved in the old hospital premises.
He vowed that we would ensure all the genuine and legitimate rights of the poor “We are shifting all necessary powers to the people under new LG system wherein 30% resources to the tune of Rs.40b will be transferred to the LG bodies that is a revolution by itself”, he asserted.
He said that programs of hoodwinking the people have been chalked out in the name of so called local govt systems in other provinces as miseries of the public would remain intact even after LG elections there but in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, people would see revolutionary changes in their streets, bazaars, cities, health, education and all other institution after the new LG system, he concluded.
