Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Industries, Shaukat Ali Yousafzai has expressed his commitment to make Khyber Pakhtunkhwa a gateway for Middle East added that he will provide the best industrial policies to industrialists and investors. The province has huge potential but never been though seriously in this regard by the farmer provincial governments.
This he said while addressing a high level meeting at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chamber of Commerce and Industries Peshawar on Friday. Beside President Chamber Zahid Shanwari, former presidents of chamber, executive of chamber, investors and other concerned authorities also attended the meeting.
Provincial minister on this occasion assured that the investors would not only be provided protection but huge investment opportunities would also be erected for this. He said that present industrial scenario in the province can be controlled only with the collective struggle of stakeholders.
The government will leave no stone unturned in this regard. He said the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, despite its location disadvantage and untoward situation of law and order, has many advantages as it can become a gateway for Middle East countries. He said that investment road show will soon be arranged at Dubai to motivate the international investors.
Shaukat Yousafzai further stated that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa being a frontline and gas producing province should be provided privileges by federal government and he will fight strongly against ban on gas connections for new industries. Moreover, he stated that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was fighting on frontline for whole Pakistan since the last eleven years but nothing been done for its betterment. He also said that the Federal Govt: wants to keep the province week by imposing ban on gas connection and electricity, which may be a revenge of their defeat in last general elections.
Provincial Minister while giving his comment about statement of Abid Sher Ali regarding electricity theft in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said that he should repair his own meter which is completely disturbed inspite talking about the meters of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, he concluded.
